Mission Statement

We welcome visitors to the Myrtle Beach area to our support groups and any Bariatric patients from other programs wishing to have ongoing group support.

It is our mission to provide support services before and after Bariatric Surgery. One of the support services offered by the practice is a monthly support group with guided discussions by a licensed member of our Bariatric Team and presentation of topics effecting the Bariatric population. It is the intention of the support group to also provide a way for the Bariatric patients to network with each other and support one another out in the community on an as needed basis.

Time: 3rd Tues. of every month beginning at 6:30 PM.

• Previous Topics:  "Cool Summer Time Cooking" - Dietitian Effie Akerlund and Culinary Chef Brenda Spellman will create healthy summertime recipes for your bariatric diet.  The recipes are Fruit Dip, Curry Chicken Salad In a Romaine Pineapple Lettuce Wrap, Cauliflower Salad and Yogurt Sorbet.  Click here for recipes
